      Alpha Baking Company, founded in 1979, is one of the largest specialty bakeries in the United States. It sells its products under the S. Rosen, Mary Ann, Kreamo, Golden Hearth and Grain Waves Organic brand names. With more than 1,000 employees and over 300 delivery trucks, the bakery distributes fresh bread in the upper Midwest and frozen bread across the rest of the country. Its products are sold in national restaurant chains, quick service restaurants, schools, institutions, major league sports franchises, warehouse club stores, national grocery chains and independent grocery stores. Products offered by the bakery include rye, sourdough, Italian, French, pan breads and wide pan breads, Kaiser rolls, hot dog and hamburger buns, French rolls, baguettes, bagels, and organic and frozen par-baked bread products. Alpha Baking Company s bakeries and more than 10 production lines serve the retail, food service, institutional, restaurant and frozen products markets. It is headquartered in LaPorte, Ind.
