My countertops have a very heavily veined area of marbled butted up against a very plain slab of marble and it does not look right. 2 very different patterns of marble were joined at the seam and they said it was because the piece of marble I chose had a lot of defects that had to be cut around. I was never told this, nor was I given the chance to come in and pick another slab of marble.
