The center assists individuals in learning or relearning daily living skills, such as cooking, personal hygiene, housekeeping, budgeting and medication monitoring. It offers vocational services to assist individuals to enter the job market and gain employment through the development of work skills and talents. The center s peer support services provide people with opportunities to direct recovery and advocacy processes, as well as help others to lead meaningful lives. Additionally, it organizes special groups, presentations and activities for family and friends. Charles County Freedom Landing is located in La Plata, Md.
