Murdock Elementary School is part of the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District. The school offers classes in various subjects, including mathematics, English, science and technology, social studies, language arts, health education, computer science, arts and crafts, music and physical education. It focuses on enhancing reading, writing and language skills of students. The school also provides before and after school child care services. Its parent-teacher association sponsors assemblies, field trips, health and safety programs and parent education classes, and purchases school supplies, such as books and furniture. Located in La Mesa, Calif., Murdock Elementary School serves the educational needs of more than 600 students, and offers classes from grades kindergarten through five.
