The Stella Maris Academy is an educational institution that provides educational programs to students in kindergarten through grade eight. The school features a library that provides curriculum-related materials and a variety of leisure reading options for its students. Its curriculum includes algebra, computer science, language arts, religion, technology, music, arts, physical education, reading, writing, social studies and math. The Stella Maris Academy operates a parent-teacher association that conducts several fundraising activities and special programs. The school provides food, transportation, guidance counseling and medical care. The school additionally organizes various sports activities, such as basketball, volleyball and soccer. Located in La Jolla, Calif., the Stella Maris Academy is the Parochial School of Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
