Eyla Boies, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician who provides primary care for infants, children and adolescents through all of their developmental stages. Her expertise includes assisting mothers who are experiencing difficulties breastfeeding their newborns.As a professor of pediatrics at UC San Diego School of Medicine, Dr. Boies instructs medical students, residents and fellows. Her research interests include pediatric infectious diseases and premature infant nutrition."I was drawn to medicine at an early age by its blend of science and caring for people. What I like most is helping children stay healthy, and teaching them and their parents more about taking care of themselves."Dr. Boies has practiced pediatric medicine in San Diego since 1992. She completed her fellowship and residency training at Children's Hospital in St. Louis.
