Craig Lambert, LCSW, is a couples and marriage counselor in San Diego and La Jolla specializing in marriage counseling, couples counseling, and premarital counseling.The approach in his counseling and workshops is based a combination of techniques from the mindfulness movement as well as Imago therapy. Imago stems from the principle that humans possess impulses toward not only self-repair and self-actualization, but loving connection. Conflict is a natural and much needed part of this growth process. Working with our impulses and the eventual conflict they create in an enlightened rather than frightened manner enables the growth we all crave. In fact, conflict is the primary way we achieve that growth.
