Whittier Christian Elementary School, located in Whittier, Calif., is a ministry of Calvary Baptist Church. The school offers a variety of educational, enrichment and cocurricular programs to more than 200 students in grades one through six. Its core curriculum includes English, arts, music, science, social studies, mathematics, and computer and physical education. Whittier Christian Elementary School also provides reading, writing, spelling, computer education and Bible studies programs. The school provides the extended day program to working parents. It has a parent-teacher association that focuses on increasing awareness and participation in curriculum and policy development, by enhancing communication between home and school.
