Established in 1953, Kokomo Rescue Mission preaches to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ through its ministries. The organization supports several holiday outreach programs and provides shelter, food and clothing for men, women and children. It offers vocational training classes in construction skills. The organization s 99 and ONE Club is a caring group of mission friends that works to provide food and shelter to the homeless and poor individuals. Its women s shelter ministry provides refuge and restoration for homeless women and children. Kokomo Rescue Mission offers intermediate level and Graciously Restoring Our Women In Need of God (GROWING) programs for women. It operates a computerized learning center that conducts classes in topics related to spiritual growth and basic life and learning skills. It is funded by several businesses, churches and individuals. Kokomo Rescue Mission is a member of the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions and is located in Kokomo, Ind.
