Sterchi Elementary School provides academic and recreational programs for students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. The school offers classes in English, math, science, social studies and language arts. Its curriculum also includes art, music and physical education. Sterchi Elementary School s library stocks more than 10,000 books, DVDs, books-on-tapes, magazines, and videos. The library also features nearly 20 desktop and laptop computers for students. Its parent-teacher organization sponsors several bookfairs, fundraising events and counseling sessions. Sterchi Elementary School is governed by Knox County Schools, which also operates various elementary, middle, high and special schools. The school district serves students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12.
