We recently attended a Furrow real estate auction. It was a classic bait and switch. They advertised they were auctioning off real estate property with no minimum bid. An hour before the start of the auction they post a notice that the buyer would have to pay over $394,000 to a lien holder. So, they were really only auctioning off a second mortgage on the property. Oh, and on top of wasting a lot of people's time by false advertising, they charge a 10% buyers premium on top of the entire purchase...including the first mortgage amount which they have nothing to do with. This was the worst and most dishonest auction I've attended.
