The Wooden Nickel Restaurant opened in 1990 and has become a popular gathering place noted for fine food, an extensive wine list, drinks and entertainment. Popular pasta dishes include traditional favorites such as Pasta con Broccoli, Blackened Chicken Fettuccine, Pasta con Luigi and our Combination Platters. Seafood pastas include Spaghetti or Linguini with shrimp, clams, crabmeat, broccoli, mushrooms and zucchini served with your choice of sauces. The specialty of the house is Smoked Bar-B-Que Pork Ribs prepared in our own Southern Pride Hickory Smoker and are famous throughout the area. Steaks are grilled just the way you like and all entrees are served with salad, your choice of French fries, pasta or baked potato, and garlic bread sticks. The Wooden Nickel Restaurant also features a full service bar and entertainment area with big screen TV. Woody's is the place to socialize with friends, entertain guests, or have a delicious meal. Separate banquet rooms are available in the Wooden Nickel for up to 200 guests. Guests may choose from our menu or with advanced notice our chefs will prepare a special meal. The Journal Banquet Hall is the perfect location for your banquet. With accommodations for up to 400 guests on three levels, we offer a menu that can be customized for any type of event. Our rooms are also ideal for office parties, receptions and luncheons, as well as meetings and reunions. In addition to a stage area, bar facilities and game room on the lower level, there's a large ballroom and banquet room available on the upper level.
