      The Ulster County Mental Health Department is the local government agency that plans, funds and monitors community mental health, mental retardation and developmental disability and alcohol and substance abuse services in Kingston, N.Y. It offers various services, including inpatient psychiatric treatment, partial hospitalization, emergency psychiatric intervention, residential, outpatient clinic treatment, case management and continuing day treatment. Its services also include intensive psychiatric rehabilitation, sheltered work shop, vocational assessment and training, information and referral, prevention and education, peer advocacy, self-help and psychosocial programs. Its school-based services include outpatient assessment and treatment, case management, prevention and education services. Its alcohol and substance abuse services include intensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and detoxification, methadone maintenance and residential programs.
