Wellmont Health System, founded in 1996 to be a model of excellence for the provision of healthcare and wellness services, is the premier healthcare provider in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. The integrated healthcare delivery system is comprised of Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Wellmont Hawkins County Memorial Hospital in Rogersville, Wellmont Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, Va., and Buchanan General Hospital in Grundy, Va.
