      Founded in 1988, Boys & Girls Clubs of North Lake Tahoe is a nonprofit organization that provides youth development services. It offers programs in the areas of education, health and life skills development and fitness. The organization s arts program promotes cultural awareness amongst youths through the knowledge and appreciation of visual crafts and creative writing. Its educational programs include employment opportunities and job training. Boys & Girls Clubs of North Lake Tahoe s recreational programs include a variety of activities, such as sports, camping, dance shows and cooking, as well as field trips. Its services and programs promote the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness and belonging. The organization is located in King Beach, Calif.
