My apartment was clean, safe and relatively cheap. It was an older unit that had been decently maintained, so the fixtures and so forth were about 20 years old but in working condition. The manager is seriously a troll IRL. She has no social skills and looks like an over weight oompa loompa with a drug addiction. I had to hire a lawyer to write them a nasty letter when I deployed and I never got my deposit back. Overall, I got a decent bang for my buck. I paid $525 per month, never saw a roach once in 2 years, most of the admin people people in the leasing office were cool (except for the oompa loompa) and didn't have to put up with too much mierto. Plus it was quiet at night which was nice. The management was very diligent in enforcing the noice policy which made up for all the other stuff they screwed up in the long run.
