Dr. Sunishka Wimalawansa is a board-certified plastic surgeon, with additional specialized fellowship training and additional certifications in surgery of the hand and upper extremity, who brings an abundance of talent and expertise to the medical team at Advanced Plastic & Hand Surgery serving Kettering, Ohio and Dayton, OH. Dr. Wimalawansa received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He completed his residency programs in general and plastic surgery at Ohio’s distinguished Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. He is certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery with the additional subspecialty certification of added qualifications in hand and upper extremity surgery and specializes in both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the extremities, face, breast, and body. He uses the most advanced technology and techniques available to provide the most successful outcomes possible for his patients. Dr. Wimalawansa uses his extensive surgical skills to focus on restoring both the cosmetic appearance and the function of body structures damaged by congenital defects, disease, and trauma.
