Keota Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade six. Its academic curriculum includes phonics, reading, math, science, social studies, art, music, computer applications, language arts and physical education. The school organizes various enrichment activities, such as field trips, book fairs and musical shows. Keota Elementary School also conducts Fire Prevention Week, Team Up Against Drugs, Hooked on Books Day and Fall Fine Arts Night programs. It is located in Keota, Iowa, and is a part of Keota Community Schools, which operates elementary, middle and high schools. Keota Community Schools provides guidance and counseling services, as well as special education programs for students with special needs. The school system is a part of the Great Prairie Area Education Agency.
