took brand new draperies that arrived in the mail to have them pressed and pleated -- took them over four weeks to get them done, after they told me they would be done in three days! Picked them up and the draperies were very damp -- after getting home and hanging them immediately the pleats were un-even, some were not pleated at all, creases even going horizontal on the drapes -- very dissatisfied with customer service, as well as the "professional" pressing service -- also took in three men suits as well to have cleaned and pressed -- have receipt for the three suits -- been over one month and they still cannot find two of the suits! No offer for any money for loss of the suits. Will never return

Unfortunately, I didn't read the review for Columbia Cleaners before I took my daughter's HC dress to be altered. I was told it would be ready on Tuesday, Sept 8 ....but after going there 3 days in row, I finally was able to p/u on Friday, Sept 11, 2015. I am extremely upset and disappointed in the inappropriate altering of my daughters dress which has left the bead work not matching the original pattern and the center zipper in the back not lining up with the middle of her back. The other extremely upsetting issue, if she was a professional seamstress...you wouldn't create a NEW cut in the middle of the back strap which has very detailed bead work to alter it. A professional seamstress, would alter a dress from the existing seam on the side, where minimal bead work is located as well and make the alterations even on both sides so the center of the dress is still in tact. I took the dress back to the bridal shop where I bought it and they ACKNOWLEDGED and VERIFIED it was DONE WRONG!!

If anyone needs dry-cleaning or hemming done, I would recommend NOT going to the Columbia Dry-Cleaning.

When I first went in to get my two suit jackets' sleeves hemmed, they were fairly nice. They measured my sleeves and made notes. I was charged $25 a jacket, I paid in FULL, and was told they would be ready Saturday at 3pm.

Since it was Friday and I worked all weekend, I came in on Tuesday. The main lady who runs the shop, laughed at me and said they would be done NEXT Saturday. Other than here treating me like the village idiot, that's fine, I probably just misunderstood her.

I came in a week later, also on Tuesday, and once again was treated like a village idiot as I was told a story about how they got busy over the weekend and neither of my jackets were done. They told me, "Your jackets will be done Wednes- no Thursday.". They seriously changed their answer mid-sentence. Fine, whatever.

Came in on Thursday morning. Again with the poor treatment and a delay about how she forgot to tell me 3pm.

Came in at 4:45 and I once again was greeted with poor treatment and told they were finishing up my jackets and they would be ready in the morning. By this time I was reasonably upset.

Came in Friday morning. Again with the village idiot treatment, but my jackets were finally ready. I ended up arguing with her for half an hour about getting any kind of refund or discount before I stormed out of there to avoid the risk of getting arrested for assault. I was so livid I wanted to hope the counter and smack her.

So just to recap:

I paid $50 to get two jackets hemmed.

I paid in FULL on the first day.

It took them TWO WEEKS to the day to get said jackets hemmed.

I was treated very poorly.

And I was refused any kind of discount for for the absurd wait and poor quality of service.

The only reason I rated them with 2 stars and not 1, is that the hem's are actually of decent quality. Absolutely not worth everything else, though.
