​Dr. Tapan K. Daftari is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in spinal reconstructive surgery, minimally invasive spinal surgery, and spinal disc replacement. He practices at Resurgens Orthopaedics' Austell location in Georgia. Dr. Daftari earned his medical degree from Northwestern University in 1988, completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals from 1989 to 1994, and pursued a fellowship in spine surgery at William Beaumont Hospital from 1994 to 1995. He is affiliated with Wellstar Cobb Medical Center, Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center, Wellstar Windy Hill Hospital, and Wellstar Douglas Medical Center. Dr. Daftari has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2011 and was among the 22 Resurgens physicians honored as 2024 Top Doctors.
