New to the area, a neighbor referred us to this dental office. We've seemed to have quite a bit of disappointment & have been inconvenienced here more than once. Our first set appointment for my daughter involved getting a voice message 15 minutes before her scheduled appointment saying that the Dr was ill. It was the end of the week before 4th of July weekend...Rescheduling was tough because again, we were working to coordinate & the appointment was pushed further off again. Appointments rarely ran on time & my children were always called back 20-30 minutes past their scheduled time. For this reason, I opted to schedule 2 consecutive appointments as the first of the shift---2pm & 8am--We waited 40 min & got the reply that the dentist was "tied up." I cannot begin to fully explain the extent of the inconvenience this caused our family for the day--no apology or response either. Sorry to say that I will not return, nor will I recommend this dentist to the families in our community.
I took my child here to have work done after my normal dentist did not have any appointments that would work with my schedule. The dentist at West Cobb made the original treatment plan for 2 visits. She even commented on how well my child tolerated the dental work. They were running over 30 minutes late for both visits when our appointment was at 8:30 AM both times. The staff also offered no explanation about them running behind and saw other patients that entered after us with later appointments.
My other complaint is the doctor did not complete the work in two visits as planned. I was only told that my child would need more visits at the conclusion of the second visit. I firmly believe that this was done in order to obtain more money from the sedation charges.
I highly recommend looking for a different children's dentist.
I would like to say that we are very sorry. You were our first appointment of the day, however Dr. Angie was stuck on I-75 North in a horrible accident the day of your appointment and we apologized for her tardiness, but it just was something simple beyond our control. Both the doctors in the other suites were late as well that day. The other patients taken back that morning were hygiene patients for routine cleanings, not for treatment. We were not performing sedation that day, only nitrous for treatment which is $55.00 at our office. We also offer $50.00 off our first treatment visits at our office, which I hope was offered to you and should have offset this cost for you. I hope you can understand that sometimes a child can only tolerate so much and also depending on how long the patient stays numb and tolerates the nitrous as well as other factors determine how much work can actually be completed in each visit. Our hopes are to always minimize the amount of times you must visit the dentist in order to complete all the work, but it is not an exact science and it also depends on the child too. We strive to make our patients as comfortable as possible and our work top notch, so again our apologies if the treatment extended beyond what we thought we could do in 2 visits. We would love the opportunity to earn back your business.
I have taken my boys here for years and have always been very pleased. Appointments are timely, staff is very friendly and professional, and treatment is thorough and affordable. We love the small, friendly environment and the fact that we are greeted on a first name basis. Office is clean, colorful, and fun.
West Cobb Dentistry is great! I first went there about three years ago for an emergency root canal. I was in extreme pain and scared to death, but the excellent staff quickly took away my pain and fear and fixed my tooth. It was a pain free experience, and that is what I loved most about the dentist. I have been going there ever since for cleanings, filling of any cavities, and crown work. They do an excellent job, and the staff is pleasant and caring! I would HIGHLY recommend West Cobb Dentistry to anyone looking for quality care! My whole family goes there and loves them!
My daughter has been going here for the past year. Everyone is very friendly. The dentist and the hygentists are very skilled at working with small children. My daughter wanted to know when she got to go back after her first cleaning. She was disappointed that she had to wait 6 months!
I love Dr. Goettee. I have been a patient of his for over 18 years. His work is always perfect.
My son is in the 4th grade, and has been going to Children's for years. The staff is very friendly and professional. I love that when we come in for a cleaning twice a year they know our names. I teach preschool, and nothing makes a mom and a child feel more comfortable than being called by your name. My teeth are not the best and I have anxiety about going to the dentist from my experiences as a child. I have complete confidence in knowing my child won't have the same anxiety when at Children's Dentistry. Thank you Children's Dentistry of West Cobb!
I have taken my kids to Dr. Williamson for over a year now. Both visits the staff at the front desk are extremely unprofessional. Laughing so loud and talking very unappropriately. But this last visit we came straight from school I told the staff up front that they probably needed to brush their teeth before they saw the dentist but they were called back anyway. While both of my kids were in the back both of the hygentists made rude comments regarding their dental hygene to one another then had absolutely no conversations with either one of my kids and talked to one another regarding their own kids baseball coaches and their kids games over the weekend. Then when my kids came out they made loud comments in front of other parents to me about my kids teeth which neither one of them had a cavity nor have they ever. The just needed the chance to brush their teeth before seeing the doctor because we came straight from school. Also my childrens teeth were not even flossed at the cleaning which I will be reporting all of this. Dr. Williamson I think if you want to keep your practice you better clean up your staff. Have patients treated with respect and when there is a cleaning make sure that your staff completes the cleaning rather than talk about their kids status on the baseball team. This lady was so rude to both of my kids and I. We will never be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Relaxed and friendly enviorment is what you need when you visit the dentist and I found it at Dr. Goette's office. The staff puts forth a friendly atmosphere which keeps you relaxed. I felt I was included in my treatment plan and my questions and concerns were addressed very well. I feel very comfortable putting my health in their hands.
We had a great experience with Dr. Barham and childrens dentistry. I went back with both my kids while they had their teeth cleaned. I think it is quite small and think they need more space, but everyone there was so friendly. THis was my third time there in 2 years and we saw the same teeth cleaning lady (Heather) all three times. Dr. Barham is really nice, and I never felt like I was talked into any unnecessary dental work. ALso, they offered my a discount when I paid cash the first time, and this time I got a free flouride rinse when I asked. The second time I waited 30 minutes past my time, but was given a lunch gift certificate for my wait. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I have to say kudos to Dr. B (I think it is Barum), my kids love going here. I have a special needs child and she keeps her in a quiet room so she is not frightened by the noise or bright lights. It is very small, but more family geared than high volume kids dentistry like I have seen at two other places in this area. I will say I wish they were open 5 days a week instead of 3 1/2 but the staff is usually very accomodating with that too. Would recommend.
I have no idea what this lady is talking about. Dr. B is the best Dentist I have ever meet and is the most trusted i've ever meet. You can go to other dental office and they will not let you go back with you child because they do better with you in the waiting room. I've seen that first hand. For you to make a formal complant that is just crazy!! This dental office is the best. Go to a larger dental office and see how they treat you? Worse they dont care about you like Dr. B and the back office staff does.
