So, on 11/29/17, our car broke down in Kenner, on Loyola Drive. We contacted Progressive we advised us that Gary's Towing was going to be assigned. We was also informed that we would have to pay $11 to be towed to our home in LaPlace by the Progressive representative.

We contacted Gary's Towing soon after to confirm the location of pick-up, as well as the destination. I was shocked when the "dispatcher" told me that due to where the vehicle was being towed, i would have to pay the tow driver in cash $65.

I explained to the dispatcher that I was approximately 16.1 miles from my front door, and that Progressive covers 15 miles of the trip. Therefore the remaining 1.1 miles in no way equates to $65. And, i reminded her that i did pay Progressive $11 to cover the extra 1.1 miles of the tow. The dispatcher continued to argue the point to extort my money, at which time i told her that i would gladly wait another 2 hours before i would pay her company a dime.

I contacted Progressive and explained the exchange between myself and the dispatcher. The representative attempted contact Gary's Towing, but the dispatcher never answered the call. They then assigned another tow company to us.
