Sam and Ward did an amazing job on a refinish job for a little house I had in Redmond years ago. They also did some work 5 years ago on a vacation property we own. Recently, I had hardwoods installed in our "new" (1970) home by another contractor. For some reason I had it stuck in my head that they only did refinishing. Mistake. The guys we used for the new floors were ok. They had come highly recommended from a friend who had them do their floors. But, they were absolutely no comparison to Sam and Ward. Competitive Hardwoods sets very clear expectations (then goes beyond them), and are excellent communicators. We had quite a few issues with expectations and at several points in the project, I was not able to reach the job supervisor to resolve things. These "other" guys worked so fast (it felt like there were dozens of them), that by the time I noticed a mistake, the project was too far gone. Sam and Ward are the best and no one out there compares.
