Dr. Jim is a very reasonably priced vet who gives you that personal attention to your pet and it's owners. He explains everything that he's about to do and gives you options. Most importantly, you can tell that he loves his job as he treats the animals with much care. I was going to another vet located close to him and did NOT like how rough the lady vet was treating my new kitten. I thought maybe it happened only that one time but when I went back to bring my other cat for a checkup 2 months later, she was rough again and teaching her interns to do the same so decided to look for another vet, found Dr. Jim and have not had any regrets! I've been with him for over a year now and am very happy. He's even very respectful to dog groomers and has told me that he won't groom pets as he doesn't want to take business away from groomers and recommended me to a local shop. I thought that was very nice of him.
I just had my cat neutered today. The vet is very kind with a great sense of humor. He charges just $30 to neuter a cat. I chose to pay extra to receive antibiotics and pain medicine and an IV drip during surgery. The total was $119.00, oh, and that included a rabies vaccine. You can't beat the price. He has no front office staff; he runs it all on his own. Kudos!
I love Keller Town Center Animal Hospital! This is a down to earth environment, a very caring Vet. He tells you what you need to know and offers as many solutions as available for the care of your pet. The most reasonably priced Vet I have ever been to. I feel very comfortable with him taking care of my animals! I recommend him to anyone who is in need of a new vet! You wont be disappointed!
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Mortensen. He is caring and understanding, and reminds me more of a "mom and pop" establishment than a corporate-run business. He provides all the options when presented with a problem and his prices are very reasonable. He's very knowledgeable and friendly. And I probably shouldn't say this but one time he gave me service at no cost because I donated several bags of clothing and household goods to him. He takes these things to Tyler and distributes them to families in need. He is one vet who goes above and beyond for sure.
I appreciate Dr. Mortensen because he participates in the SPAY program offering discounted spay and neutering. He was also very understanding when our beloved dog's health was failing. He offered many different options of treatment, and left it up to us to decide what path we wanted to take. When it came time to put her down, he was gentle with her, and gave us all the time we needed in the room with her. Now he is taking care of our two new dogs, and we're very pleased with his services.
I have been going for about a year now, the vet has always been available for us. His prices are reasonable and he is always sure to explain the procedure and any follow up we may have to do. He has never attempted to "trick" us into any procedure just for his profit, in fact it has always been the oposite.MG
