- Root Canal TreatmentYes. Teeth that have had root canals can be moved the same as teeth that have remained healthy.
- DenturesProblems with the alignment of your denture affect aspects of your life other than how you look. Severe malocclusions cause pain and trouble with your mandibles bones.
- Dental ImplantsTADs are small titanium pins, like micro versions of traditional dental implants. These are used in specific situations to provide the ability to do orthodontic movements that would otherwise only be possible with surgery or more cumbersome devices.
- Oral SurgeryTake your time. After the surgery is complete, you will need some time to recover fully. It won’t hurt if you ask for two weeks off school or work to heal properly. Afterward, your Salem orthodontist will continue their work to straighten your teeth.
- Jaw SurgeryIn some cases, surgery might not be necessary, so you must discuss your case with your orthodontist and another specialist. Maxillofacial surgeons are the only dental health professionals certified to perform various types of orthognathic surgery.
- Maxillofacial SurgerySurgical orthodontics may also refer to orthognathic surgery and is used for severe cases of bad bites, jaw bone abnormalities, and malocclusions. Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a dental specialty that differs from Orthodontics. It focuses on the surgical correction of complex cases involving the bone structure of your mouth, jaw, face, and skull.
- Tooth ExtractionsBefore we can say anything about extraction of teeth, understand that if extractions are involved in an orthodontic case, it’s always harder for the doctor. Orthodontists want to avoid extractions just as much as you do! Having said that, extractions are still necessary in between 20-30% of cases (nationwide average according to surveys by the American Association of Orthodontists).

- Invisalign OrthodonticsClear aligners are the last success in the market of aligner treatment; they bring numerous benefits. New procedures and millions of testimonies back products, such as Invisalign clear aligner trays.
- BracesWith braces, patients get to choose between metal, ceramic or lingual. Clear aligners are a little more simple because they all are acrylic. Different providers offer different types of plastic. However, the principle is the same for all —they have to be as transparent as possible.
- Teeth WhiteningByte works similarly to the other brands in the market and has an excellent track record. The plus they offer is in the form of a free whitening treatment along with your teeth aligners.
- General DentistryAfter graduating dental school, Dr. John knew he wanted to be an orthodontist but wasn’t quite ready for more schooling. He decided to join the Army in order to hone his dental skills and for a little bit of adventure, like they promised on TV. (Mainly he wanted a paycheck and a chance to live in Europe.) His first duty station was Ft. Campbell, KY, where he underwent extensive advanced training in the general dentistry residency program (AEGD). The Army wasn’t quite ready to send him to Europe. They decided to send him to Korea for a year first. After Korea Dr. John finally made it to Germany, where he commanded a dental clinic in Heilbronn (south of Frankfort).
