Located in the Colonial Theater building, the joint is overflowing with charm and old furniture. Reminiscent of the coffee houses of 60's era Greenwich Village, the only things missing are beatniks, bongos and poor poetry. Never mind, the locals are friendly and the food is good. The service comes with a smile and there's always someone to chat with. The coffee, tea and chai selection is extensive and the house blends are exceptional. There is an old bookcase filled with odds and ends and mostly books you wouldn't want to read. The atmosphere is typical of the most comfortable places in Keene and Brattleboro and that's what brings me back again and again. Like a vintage, worn, favorite shirt, Brewbakers just feels right.
