      Established in 1924, Good Samaritan Health Systems is a 287-bed regional referral center. Located in Kearney, Neb., its services include joint replacement, cancer, cardiology, trauma care, health development and behavioral health. The cardiology department offers services that include coronary bypass surgery, peripheral vascular surgery, balloon angioplasty, intravascular coronary ultrasound, peripheral vascular intervention, cardiac catheterization and transesophageal echocardiography. Good Samaritan Health Systems behavioral health department offers services, including therapeutic recreation, nursing services, psychopharmacology, and group, family and individual psychotherapy. Additionally, the health system offers family support services, telemedicine, occupational health, peritoneal dialysis and hospice services. Good Samaritan Health Systems is a member of Catholic Health Initiatives, one of the largest Catholic health providers in the country.
