Located in Kaufman, Texas, Trinity Valley Electric Cooperative (TVEC) is an electric distribution cooperative serving more than 50,000 meters. The company provides reliable electric energy at the lowest possible cost while striving to render other services to enhance the quality of life of the membership and community. TVEC is an electric power system that is owned and controlled by the people it serves. It is chartered by the state of Texas and provides electric service to members in the northeastern Texan counties of Anderson, Dallas, Henderson, Hunt, Kaufman and Van Zandt. As an electric cooperative, TVEC is operated on a nonprofit basis.

Ive been with Trinity Valley for about 4 years now since we moved here from Chicago. They wanted $50 dollars to turn off the yard light that I paid $50 to have turned on, so when the bulb burned out 3 years ago we just never had ot replaced. Now we have bought a home, and the electric is being transferred back into the landlords name, and they are charging us a $50 fee to disconnect out electricity. I have a $250 deposit which will go towards the final bill, I just paid my last bill a week ago, so they are basically gauging me. I went with AnyoneButThem as my new company in my new home. TRINITY VALLEY IS NOTHING BUT THIEVES. $50 DOLLARS TO PUSH A BUTTON AND PUT IT BACK INTO THE LANDLORDS NAME? RIDICULOUS!
