I initially gave a negative review because of a very bad service experience I had at Pep Boys in 845 S Fry Rd, Katy, Tx. I have reached out to their corporate office and a very senior officer resolved my concerns in a fair and reasonable manner.



I will still go to Pep Boys for some of my maintenance needs. Probably not at the S Fry Road store though. The actions of one or a few individuals does not necessarily represent the entire company. It is fair that they deserve another chance to demonstrate how good and customer oriented PepBoys stores are as was my personal experience in many other stores.

I have been bringing my cars to PepBoys for about a year now. Every repair has been done correctly, at a fair price and with top notch communication.



Recently I saw a car I was interested in for my daughter. I had the owner bring it to PepBoys for a pre-purchase checkup. Immediately Macon Phillips noticed some red flags. He suggested I get a car fax which I did. He read it and saw the car had been in an accident with serious damage. I did not buy the car, and he saved me the money for the pre-purchase checkup. He cared enough to watch out for my interests and I respect him for that. There are still honest men in the world. I will never take my car anywhere else.

Macon, the manager of this location, is one of the most knowledgeable and experienced auto repair managers in the country. He's unfailingly direct, fair in his estimates, and gets the job done with a minimum of fuss and a maximum of information to the customer. You can't do better than giving your automotive problems as well as your routine maintenance to him.
