My dog and I have recently had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Bunck at North Oak Animal Hospital on two visits. The front desk staff was friendly and the wait was short both times. Maya is a very nervous dog and cowers away from even a friendly pat. Dr. Bunck was the most patient vet I have ever seen and spoke quietly to Maya and was so calm with her. On the second visit Maya was able to relax on the floor and allowed Dr. Bunck to examine her more thoroughly. I also felt very comfortable to ask questions and got some excellent advice about a common problem with dogs (nail trims). Maya has recovered from her ailment that Dr. Bunck treated and we are on the right track with doggie pedicures! Knowing we now have a competent vet is very reassuring!

Let me tell you about our dealings with this so called caring hospital. Our dog had a heart attack yesterday afternoon, my husband found him dying on our living room floor, he grabbed him and headed to the emergency hosptial not knowing that they were only there after hours and on weekends. The cleaning person told him "go across the street, they will help you", right!! Upon entering with our dog gasping for air the first question out of the front office persons mouth was "have you been seen here before?" My husband said no but my dog is dying, the response was, "well we do not have a doctor available, we can't help you!" Can't help you?????? The little guy was trying to breath, but no one in this vet clinic could be bothered! Long horrible story short, buy the time he got to our vet, our little boy was gone! So thank you North Oak Animal Hospital, you have more compassion than I have ever had to witness! NOT!!!! Rest assured I will tell every one I know about you, including all of the adoption and rescue groups that I work with. I can only hope your serious lack of compassion for animal and human alike does not go unanswered! PS: Money was not a problem here, we would have paid whatever was needed to save our litte "Petey".

Dr. Johnson is wonderful! He has been my cat's vet since I adopted her in 2003. She had a rough start in life but Dr. Johnson did everything possible to nurse her back to health. You can tell that he loves his profession by the way he interacts with the animals. His staff is also great. If I call the clinic for anything and give my name, the office manager states my cats name immediately. It makes me feel like they really care about their patients and the patient's family. It's like small town service in a huge city!!
