I am a pianist as an occupation. At the beginning of January, I broke my finger, but didn't realize it. I really don't like going the doctor personally, although I do have friends that are doctors and dentists. At the urgent suggestion of my friends, I went in and found that my finger was indeed broken, now two weeks after I broke it.

Dr Zadoo was the recommended follow up doctor/hand specialist. I loved the staff, the xray technician, as well as the office itself. But here's the clincher. When Dr Zadoo came in, he didn't ask me when I broke my finger, when I had gone into have it checked or what I did for a living. He simply said (this is day 5 of wearing the splint) that "You don't need that anymore. I don't see anything on the xray. It was a minor brake, if any." I responded, "Well that's good news!" He looked at me blankly and began washing his hands to leave. "Can I go full on with my piano playing then?" He didn't hear me, so his xray technician repeated it. Not really paying much attention, "Ah, yes."

I was excited! "Yes, no more spint! My finger must have healed fast!" I thought. I went back to playing. After two days without the splint, my finger was swollen, stiff and felt arthritic. So at the advice of the former doctor, who asked when and how it happened as well as what i did for a living, I wore the splint for 6 weeks.

Now, post splint, it has been almost 10 weeks after the brake, and my finger is stiff and swollen regardless of slow and patient exercises, therapy, icing etc.

I dare say that had Dr Zadoo taken the time to even find out what I did for a living, I probably wouldn't now be int the position I am in, searching for another hand specialist to find out what I can to do get back to playing the piano, playing in the band, teaching all my students.

I would not recommend Dr Zadoo. I hope better days for him, that he can connect with his patients more, and show a little bit more care and compassion.
