      General Info
      Dr. Ryan Polselli grew up in the geographically opposite states of Florida and Alaska. Although born and raised throughout early childhood in Clearwater, Florida, he moved to Wasilla, Alaska with his family for several years before returning to Florida where he would complete high school. Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and attended the U.S. Naval Academy Preparatory School. After the military, he subsequently furthered his education to receive a degree in Physics. He then waited tables and tended bar for a couple of years before realizing what he enjoyed most was helping people and decided to pursue a career in medicine. In 2002, Dr. Polselli was accepted to the University of South Florida's Morsanil College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida, just outside of his home town. After medical school, he completed his residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. In keeping with his wish to help people, he then chose to complete a one year fellowship in Breast Imaging, also at Emory University. Dr. Polselli began practice as the Director of Breast Imaging at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. After a short time, it became evident to him that the evolving corporate hospital climate limited his ability to provide the level of dedicated care his patients deserved. He was recently introduced to the practice of Imaging for Women in Kansas City, Missouri and was impressed with the level of high quality and dedicated care being offered to patients. He joined the practice in September of 2012. In addition to clinical duties, Dr. Polselli has begun working on technical projects designed to improve the breast imaging experience.
