Barry School, located in Kansas City, Mo., is a learning center that provides educational services to students in prekindergarten through eighth grade. The school staff includes guidance counselors, nurses, paraprofessionals, speech therapists, social workers, custodians and Title-I reading teachers. It provides Spanish as a foreign language. The school also conducts special and gifted education programs. It offers a range of sports activities, such as football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, and track and field. In addition, the school provides extracurricular activities, including vocal music, band, student council and adventure club. The school has a parent-teacher-student association that sponsors various school events and activities. Barry School is governed by the Platte County R-3 School District.
