Founded in 1917, St. Matthew's School is a Catholic educational institution that serves students in pre-kindergarten through grade eight. It teaches a variety of academic subjects. St. Matthew's School also offers educational classes in music, computer applications and foreign languages. The school provides after-school care services for children. It additionally hosts teacher conventions and conferences. It is operated by the Sisters of Mercy from the Sacred Heart Convent.
