The Kalamazoo Township Police Department works to provide safety and security and protect lives and property through crime prevention and law enforcement. It operates a communication center that responds to police, fire, and medical emergency and nonemergency calls for service. The department employs a patrol lieutenant, records supervisor, and administrative and criminal investigation sergeants. The Kalamazoo Township Police Department supports Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), which is a classroom program that helps to prevent drug abuse and violence among children.
