The City of Kalamazoo's Anti-Blight Program locates, registers and improves the appearance of vacant and blighted houses. The program applies various enforcement techniques to encourage owners to repair and sell properties. It offers online applications, forms and permits. The City of Kalamazoo's Anti-Blight Program is operated by a code administration division that is a part of the Community Planning & Development Department. The division provides a flood hazard mitigation plan rental, as well as housing options. It also offers zoning and mapping services. The Community Planning & Development Department maintains economic development, planning and neighborhood development divisions. The department is a part of the government of the City of Kalamazoo in Michigan.

Regular HoursOn Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at the Eastside Neighborhood Association, there will be free after school tutoring and activities. Youth ages 5-12 can come from 4-6 pm and youth ages 12-18 can come from 6-8 pm. Dinner is served every night. For more information call the Eastside Neighborhood Association at 381.0700.
