From the first time she held a newborn, Anna knew she wanted to deliver babies. After becoming a labor and delivery nurse, she found caring for mothers was her true passion and decided to pursue midwifery in order to have a broader impact on women’s health.Anna gets excited to show women how wonderful their bodies are and how they can achieve wellness through understanding themselves. Anna has a special interest in functional medicine. She specializes in women's hormonal assessment and treatment of underlying conditions that affect the menstrual cycle. She also includes whole food nutritional counseling as part of every patient visit.Anna created and facilitates a women’s wellness group at a local homeless shelter with the goal of bringing health advice and screenings to disadvantaged women.Anna spends her free time with her husband and four young children. They enjoy hiking, biking, making meals with friends and spending time in South Haven.A whole-person approach is needed in addressing health, especially in women. The mind, body, and spirit are intimately connected to create a delicate hormonal balance in the body. Teaching women how to become experts on themselves and giving them the tools to monitor their health is the best way to achieve wellness for themselves and their entire family.
