      So i called Illusions Salon this morning and i was able to be fit in right away, which was wonderful. I talked to Jasmine the owner what i had done to my hair and the damage from striping and bleaching my hair my self. She explained to me to come down so she could get a better look. AND I AM SO GLAD I DID!!! I just moved here from New York City I know no body and After a long time and debating where to go and reading some online reviews I decided to go to Illusions salon. After 2 years almost without cutting my hair I asked Jasmine work her magic. AND BOY SHE DID! let me tell you all she knowsnwhats she is doing! She was so warm, kind and really a good hearted person. She is willing to do anything for her customers she was reassuring and took her time with me. She was absolutely 100% attentive asking every question I would expect a stylist to ask. When entering the salon my hair looked a total mess, I was sick and tired of my burnt fried hair job i did my self looking all dull, dry and lifeless. I showed Jasmine a photograph of what I wanted and she did exactly that and it turned out perfect. Jasmine even turned it up a notch and tought me ways to do my hair at home to keep up with my uncontrollable frizz. The salon is very chic and hip with top of the line products to buy and even some hair brushes, clip in bangs and jewerly. I was offered Coffee, or water and they do specials. And I took Jasmine up on her special offer for karatin. I have never had my hair so straight before. Illusions uses the top of the line karatin treatment because I have had it done before where I could not take the smell of the chemical and I could not believe it I had not reactions because the products were not cheap. If your looking for the best karatin straightening they do it right here. Its really worth it. I explain how damaged my hair was from bleach and Jasmine fixed everything love this salon will definitely be coming back

      While searching for a new hair dresser in the area, I stumbled across Illusions Spa and Salon and was impressed by the good reviews. I called and spoke to the owner of the store, Jasmine, who quoted me a price for what I was asking for (Ombre highlights and a new haircut). I was confident after talking to her and made an appointment. Sadly, It was a HORRIBLE decision. Once I showed up, she immediately doubled the price she had quoted me saying she needed to a second process to make it natural. I agreed feeling as if her explanation would make the end result worth it. By the end of appointment, I couldn't really see anything wrong in their lighting and was rushed out pretty quickly. When I got home, I realized why. My hair was bright yellow instead of the ashy blonde highlights I asked for. She clearly had no clue how to do ombre highlights AND there were lines all over my hair showing exactly where every single foil ended. None of the highlights went to my scalp so my hair was patchy. IT WAS HORRENDOUS. The next day I went to a hair salon in Gardens who examined my hair and said "after owning a salon for over 16 years, I have never seen anything like this." I then had to pay double for him to fix Jasmine's horrible attempt at doing hair. I had to have 4 different processes (balayage highlights, hair color on my roots, lowlights, and toner) done just to make my hair look somewhat decent. I can't speak for the rest of the staff, but I am highly disappointed that the owner of the store not only did a horrible job, BUT also let me leave with my hair looking horrible instead of trying to make it right or admitting her mistakes.
