I would give these guys 10 stars if I could. I drive a 20 yr. old car, because I can't afford a better one. These wonderful businessmen keep it on the road for a fair price. They don't try to sell me stuff I don't need. Hands down, this is the most honest business I've ever seen. These guys are the kind of local business that we all need to support! Best auto shop. Ever!

It's rare to find an auto shop that you can trust. Joliet Transmission is such a place. Paul and Fred are honest, hard working gentlemen that don't take advantage of customers. I've taken many vehicles to them and all have been completed in a timely fashion at a reasonable price. They don't just do transmissions. They've done oil changes, oil leaks, gas tank replacement, engine work and much more for me. Definitely a place you can rely on. Give them a try and you won't be dissapointed.
After having too many bad experiences with automotive shops in Joliet--I'm very grateful to have happened across Paul & Fred--they're honest, and ethical---they won't do any "unnecessary surgery" on your vehicle, just to line their own wallets.The shop is owned by Paul & Fred, and they do all of the work themselves---you don't have to worry about leaving your vehicle in the hands of someone inexperienced.
I have been using Paul and Mikes for about 3 years now. They have did everything from rebuildiong transmissions on 1 of my cars to tune ups and all of my general maintaince on all of my cars. they have always been fair with their prices and always have given me top notch service. I would highly recomend them. It's well worth the extra driving time to get top notch mechanics that are trust worthy and wont rip you off

had them rebuild my transmission 32 miles later no reverse, they fixed they say but would not wait 5 min for customer who traveled 40 minutes to pick up car. Employees walking out the door 5 minutes before close. Guess thier customers are not important to them after they have your 2000 + dollars. Hopefully wont be returning car again for more repairs on thier work
We enjoy having our van serviced by fred
