General Info

Dr. Ha-il Lee is board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners that includes completion of Part I, II, III, IV and Physiotherapy. He received his doctor of chiropractic degree from the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois. After he finished doctor of chiropractic program, he continued to study 3 years of Master degree in Oriental medicine and graduated summa cum laude from the National University of Health Sciences. Unlike many other chiropractors in Illinois who obtain acupuncture certification by 100 hours or 200 hours education, Dr. Lee completed Master of Science in Oriental Medicine by more than 3,000 hours of training in addition to 1,200 hours of clinic internship. He obtained acupuncture license in Illinois and Diplomate of Oriental Medicine from NCCAOM who are able to prescribe traditional herbal medicine to patients. One of the most valuable experience from his clinical training was experience in PTSD clinic and women’s health/ infertility care. Dr. Lee worked for a year at PTSD clinic in National University of Health Sciences and has seen numerous veterans at the clinic; most of them have been suffering for many decades from pain, depression, anxiety, anger, addiction and sleep disturbance due to PTSD. At the PTSD clinic, he treated veterans with many kinds of different acupuncture techniques including scalp, auricular, hands, electro acupuncture, Tung’s acupuncture, Korean needle techniques and NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) protocol. Vets visiting the PTSD clinic were those who served in World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Persian Gulf War, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and the current conflict in Afghanistan. Many cases of their condition were complex and serious in which they rely on prescription drugs. Dozens of veterans and their families were helped by acupuncture treatment and improved their quality of life by effectively reducing the symptoms of PTSD and their reliance on prescription drugs.
