Dirksen Junior High School offers a variety of academic programs. The school is located in Joliet, Ill., and is governed by the Joliet Public Schools District 86. The school provides various subjects, such as language arts, mathematics, social studies, civics, world history, and health and physical education. It also provides additional classes in fine, visual and performing arts, music, theater arts, and instrumental and vocal music. The school also has various activity teams that include band, booster and football teams. It has various other clubs and organizations, including a student council and parent-teacher association. The school additionally organizes academic discussion sessions and Institute Day celebrations.
