My wife and I rented a 1 bedroom apartment for the better part of 2 years. Unless you're in dire need of an apartment, you honestly should consider looking somewhere else. $515 for a 1 bedroom 1 bath with someone above or below you isn't great, especially in this area.

==NOISE== Wasn't awful, but it wasn't great either. We could hear the TV of the people who lived below us, along with a very muffled conversation if they were talking anywhere above normal conversation level. We never heard the people that lived beside us, so the wall does a good job of blocking those neighbors. Car volume was annoying though at times ( especially 1 person who drove an SRT4 with an atrocious exhaust) but other than that you never really noticed the to and from traffic.

==GROUNDS== Pretty nice other than the gym. The pool area is really nice and is maintained well enough. The Tennis Court isn't in great condition and it's pretty weathered, but the nets do their job and the fence around it is still standing. Grass is maintained well, trash is always picked up when it's meant to. The gym that they advertise though....good Lord is it bad. Rust and old broken equipment, the "racquetball" court is full of junk so it was unusable, only 1 treadmill could turn on. The laundry facility they have is also pretty bad. We only used it twice, but I believe it was 4-5 washers with 4-5 driers. All of them coin operated, and the driers sucked. You'd have to dry them twice if you wanted them even close to dry.

==SAFETY== Awful. Both mine and my wife's vehicles were broken into while we lived there. There is no security, and the large gate at the entrance is just for show. Lighting is "okay" but they are on some sort of a timer so they just choose when they turn off and on so one minute you can see, the next you can't. No cameras so anything that happens goes unseen.

==NEIGHBORHOOD== The location was actually pretty good. Really close to the hospital and downtown. Food City and various places to grab something quick to eat were right down the street. The street itself leaves a bit to be desired. No lines to designated which side to be on and at times it's somewhat sketchy getting past another vehicle if you're going in opposite directions. Can't answer regarding Bus Stops, we never had to use Public Transit.

==MAINTENANCE== Decent but there was a wait if you needed something done. Depending on your luck it could either be same day (or next morning if you're calling at night) or you might get unlucky and wait a day or 2. We had plumbing issues in both the bathroom and kitchen, our stove needed to be repaired twice, our fridge would change to the coldest setting on its own (not a big deal for us though), and our garbage disposal broke atleast once that I can remember. A big one was that literally only 1 window would open. That isn't an exaggeration, only 1 window could be opened because of how many times they painted the seal. You could use all the force or leverage in the world and you're still not getting it open. They did come once every quarter and change the air filter for you, but we did it every month already, the effort was nice on their part though.

The stairs and balcony for each unit were well maintained though, they took good care of them. Parking though, that was an issue at times. Sometimes you have plenty of spots, other times you're going to have to park a good walking distance away slightly down the street.

==STAFF== The manager was always very friendly and polite (she usually had a dog in her office, it was equally friendly). The maintenance people we dealt with were also quite nice and well mannered.
