Jim Thorpe Area High School serves more than 700 students in grades 7 through 12. In addition to meeting the regular educational needs of students, the school provides several special education programs that address specialized needs of students in Jim Thorpe, Pa. Jim Thorpe Area High School offers a range of advanced placement courses in English literature, calculus, American history, American government, psychology, chemistry, physics, Spanish and studio art. It offers several departments, such as fine arts, social studies, science, vocational, math, English, and health and physical education. Jim Thorpe Area High School operates a special service department for students with special needs. The school also conducts classes in vocational education. It is a part of the Jim Thorpe Area School District.
