Was told by service tech that we needed a new air conditioner unit. Story changed after I told him I was going to get a second opinion before we spent over $6,000 on a new one. He went back outside and returned saying he had called his boss and that they decided just the compressor was bad and wouldn't be so expensive to fix.

We got our second opinion from Allegiance heating and air. That technician found that the capacitor was wired incorrectly which would not allow compressor to run. He rewired it and added some refrigerant and unit has been running fine since.

No refund on my service agreement from Crain. Tammy stated on phone that is non-refundable. Just leaves me wondering if they don't have a clue what they're doing or if they know exactly how to extort money from trusting customers.

We had a furnace and air conditioner installed by Crain a couple years ago - we also needed the air conditioning unit location changed and they did it no problem. We have always received great follow up service from Crain and when we call with a question they are always willing to help us.

Crain came to the rescue when I couldn't get a hold of any other companies in my area. They have nice, clean vans. The office staff is very friendly and really make you feel like family. They came out fixed the problem and took the time to talk to me about my furnace and the things I should look out for. I will recommend Crain to all, I believe their price was fair because the service was exceptional. What I look for in a heating and air company isn't a company that marks their prices up so that they can have fancy commercials, or someone who sells you something and then you never hear from them again or receive the promises they made. What I look for is the quality service and professional staff that Crain has well exceeded. They are by no means in and out, but very thorough. I feel at ease that I've found the people I can count on when it comes to my heat.
