Clark County Youth Shelter, also known as CCYS, is a nonprofit agency that provides a range of support services for youths and families. Founded in 1986, it offers various primary care, counseling, community education, juvenile delinquency prevention, youth advocacy, and information and referral services. The agency administers a family education and support program that includes parenting education classes on abuse prevention and effective parenting. Clark County Youth Shelter s residential program features emergency and long-term services, including tutoring and medical and dental care for runaway, truant and disobedient youths. It also provides various shelter, therapeutic, recreational, community-based, case management and aftercare services. Clark County Youth Shelter is located in Jeffersonville, Ind.
