Founded in 1955, the Girl Scouts-Heart of Missouri Council is a nonprofit organization that provides a variety of programs for girls. It offers College Quest, Babysitting, Engineering for Juniors and Cookie Chefs programs. The organization also operates shops that provide uniforms, handbooks, songbooks, gifts, recognition items and accessories. It conducts training sessions on self-evaluation and development and the practice of teaching skills. The Girl Scouts-Heart of Missouri Council offers programs related to leadership opportunities, financial literacy, and communication and social skills development. It also provides Girls and Gavels, Girls get Fit, Girls and Internet Safety and Girls Go programs.
