General Info
Deanne Eccles-Rotar is board certified in sports medicine and family medicine. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire, WI and earned her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health-Madison. She completed her internship and residency in family medicine at Indiana University Methodist in Indianapolis, IN and her fellowship in sports medicine at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. Dr. Eccles-Rotar practices at SSM Health Dean Medical Group in Janesville and in Stoughton, WI. She also sees patients at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Janesville and Stoughton Hospital. Eccles-Rotar's practice is focused on musculoskeletal injuries, sports event coverage, as well as joint and tendon sheath injections. Her medical interests include concussions, non-surgical fractures, rotator cuff disorders, knee injuries, carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome, wrist, thumb, and hand arthritis, trigger finger, ankle injuries, bursitis, tendonitis and other repetitive motion injury, strains and sprains, osteoporosis, and stress fractures. Dr. Eccles-Rotar is a team physician for the Stoughton school district and the Madison Capitols USHL team. In addition, she is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine. In her free time, Dr. Eccles-Rotar enjoys spending time with her family, which includes a son and a daughter, two cats, and one English bulldog. She likes to exercise regularly; she started doing triathlons in medical school and now bikes and swims with a master’s group. She also does some running since having hip surgery. In addition, she likes reading, gardening, and art. As a family, they like to travel with favorites being California as she and her husband have a lot of family there. Before kids, she and her husband enjoyed traveling to Europe while working as the Team Physician for the US Triathlon and Duathlon team at the world championships.
