Our tax practitioner, Alex Nkrumah, is IRS licensed Enrolled Agent and has experience in financial and management accounting since March 1986. He completed his professional accountancy training (Institute of Cost and Management Accountants now Chartered Institute of Management Accountants(C.I.M.A.)) in November 1985 in London, England. He branched into tax preparation in 2004 after passing the Special Enrollment Examination(S.E.E.) at first attempt in November 2003. In 2007, after a three-year course in tax representation before the Internal Revenue Service(the I.R.S.), he began representing clients before the I.R.S. and the New York State Tax Department. He is a Fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute (NTPI). Enrolled Agents are subject to the Circular 230 provisions as Attorneys and C.P.A.s in their practice before the I.R.S. Mr. Nkrumah has helped several clients successfully fight against the I.R.S. and state including: a)Stopping IRS from shutting down a garage business for non-filing, b)Wiping off debt of $100,000 for one taxpayer, c)turning $53,000 in disallowed deductions into a $1,500 refund, d) reversing seized refund and getting back $6,000 for Injured spouse, e)removing a state tax lien $12,000 IN ONE DAY to close H.A.R.P. refinance. He fights the I.R.S. to bring resolution and closure to a problem for his client. He educates clients of their rights and responsibilities, and to make them happy with great service which yields the right results. His mortgage origination experience began in October 2003. In December 2012 and January 2013 he passed Federal and NY State pre-licensure written tests respectively, as per the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (S.A.F.E. Act), at first attempt. He is a Registered Mortgage Loan Originator (M.L.O.). He has helped a great many homeowners get the right affordable mortgages; refinance or modify mortgages to lower high interest rates. He provides clients with options to make informed decisions. Companies worked for include a fortune 100 corporation, a large conglomerate and many financial services companies.
