Nearly 100 years AGO. Oregon state university began partnering with Jackson county to deliver objective. Research based information to support ranchers. Farmers. And orchardists. And to educate local residents about nutrition and food safety. Over the years. These extension programs have expanded to include 4 H youth development. Master gardeners. Land stewards. And more. Resulting in more than 42.000 staff and volunteer contacts in 2012 alone. Every DAY. Extension makes vital contributions to the Region's cultural and economic development.
