Just saw a fresh tattoo from this shop in the mall. Gypsy Rose. It was on a young Marine, his first. Large black, old English letters. It was his family name or last name. It was spelled wrong. Said it cost $300.00 .What kind of moron could do this to this guy for his first tattoo. What the hell kind of people work at that shop?

So, I've been going to this tattoo shop since 2010, and after reading everyone's comments on here, I think there's some confusion. The owners name is Jamee,, not Charlie (close, but still inaccurate) you can even find that info on their official website. She is an amazing artist, so to the person who wished to give "negative" stars, and came on here just to write a bad review, sounds like you either had a bad experience because you were probably a difficult client, that or you were never a client at all, and you're just talking crap, might possibly be competition for you. There's a reason why she's always booked months out in advance, the girl is talented! And that's not all gypsy rose has to offer their whole staff is amazing artists as well, including David, and Bree, (I'm not too familiar with the other artists names, but if they are working at this shop, odds are they are extremely talented as well) all in all, this is the best tattoo shop here in jacksonville, and in my opinion (and the opinions of many others) the best tattoo shop here on the North Carolina coast. And with me being a local, born and raised here, that is an honest statement. 5 stars, hands down. Keep up the great work everyone! There's three places I'm afraid to see leave this crummy town, and that's the local organic market, lowes food, and gypsy rose, and all of their artists (:

Have been getting inked for well over ten years now and have to say this was the best experience I had getting a tattoo. Charlie is extremely talented. She was able to design a beautiful half sleeve around a pre existing tattoo. Her customer service is awesome. Before I went to see her I took my mother in to gypsy rose to her her first tattoo. I had never been in before and had some reservations. Charlie squashed those reservations with kindness and her eagerness to help my mother find the perfect butterfly. Many artists would have rushed my mother along, I mean it was a simple butterfly. Charlie spent the extra time malling sure the selection was perfect. Based on this I immediately made an appointment to get my sleeve finished. I am so glad I did! It is beautiful! Charlie is ridiculously talented and has a new regular on her hands as I will be back in her chair many more times.

I have gotten 2 tattoos and 2 piercings there. The whole staff has been nothing but polite and friendly. Charlie was my artist and came highly recommended by a friend, I am so glad I found her! Already planning my next tat!! Zee was my piercer, and she is so fast and good at what she does you don't even realize you have already been pierced! I recommend this place to everyone I know. And the owners are awesome as well.

Terrible place. The owner and the artist Charlie are incredibly disrespectful. My tattoo looks like complete crap and then they acted like it was MY fault b/c Charlie SAID she could do it then did it & said she couldn't do it after it was done. She sucks, no wonder she was voted off that show. The only reason I've given it 1 star is because I HAVE to in order for this to post, otherwise, I'd be zero or NEGATIVE stars.
